Welcome to 2016 and here's to another great year of training. It's the time for some new year's resolutions so here are my Shoto Budo specifics.
1. this year I'm going to avoid injury (hopefully!). 2015 saw me injured several times, not all martial arts related. Let's just say that head butting an ice rink is a BAD THING TO DO. 2. this year I'm going to train regularly. It partly depends on the above but also I want to get back to two and three times a week of training at both our club and some of our friends close by. 3. this year, I'm going to train well. In other words, I want the sessions to be quality as well as quantity. 4. this year I'm going for that black belt. In March, it will be three years since I got my brown belt so it really is time I worked to change the colour. If 1, 2 and 3 all happen, hopefully 4 will follow too. As long as Hugh agrees :-) Happy new year everyone! |
